Rebecca & Teoddie :: Wedding Web Page

We are excited to be heading down to Melbourne early next year to record the wedding of Rebecca & Teoddie. I had the good fortune to meet up with them recently and get to know more about them and their story. It’s nice to sit down and learn not just about the wedding but also how the couple came to be together and the lead up to the wedding itself.

Rebecca & Teoddie have also made it easy for family and friends to follow their journey by creating their own web page. This is  a perfect way to share information and details so everyone can share in the fun.

You can view their page here .

A quick search on google shows a few different services that allow you to simply create your own wedding page. I think it is a great idea.

For those of you on Facebook (if you are not a fan of Encore Media yet then what are you waiting for???) I have also seen the WeddingBuzz application being used very effectively as well.

Kurt Ahs :: Malaysian Photographer la!

Today we will be introducing the work of Malaysian Photographer Kurt Ahs. I met Kurt in Malaysia while shooting the wedding of Angeline and Jack. He is an awesome guy and takes some amazing shots so thought I would add an international flavour to our blog and introduce the work of Kurt Ahs.

Q1: Tell us about yourself.

I graduated with a major in photography and graphic design and have years of experience in this industry. I am a firm believer that a picture says a thousand words and try to make this a trademark of our storytelling in all of my work.

Perhaps Life Moments expresses the aesthetic aspect of journalism in life, portrait and wedding photography. We cater your needs in a photo journalistic style and approach. This passion has made us one of the most sought after destination, wedding and life photographers in Malaysia.

Q2: What are you most proud of accomplishing so far in your life?

Seeing the love, smiles, happiness from couples, parents and children.. after showing them their photographs

Q3: What inspires you when you shoot weddings and why?

The quote, ‘a world made for two’. The wedding day is the couples day and is designed to celebrate their union, happiness and dynamics with all their friends and family. I am to capture those feelings.

Q4: Who or what influenced your photography over the years?

My own observations and expressions of sense from my younger age, and the constant challenge to see the world from a different angle

Q5: What do you consider the most challenging aspect of shooting weddings?

The next job will be the most challenging… always looking forward, trying to improve and create new ideas

Q6: What is your greatest strength as a photographer?

Just loving the world and seeing beauty in everything.

Q7: Tell us your latest news? (or what have you been up to lately)

Looking forward to shoot wedding photography in tibet(the roof top of the world)

Q8: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Australia

Q9: When you wish to end your career, stop photography and look back on your life, what thoughts would you like to have?

I would like my career to end by 40yrs old and have my own ‘life gallery’ & international exhibition

Q10: How can couples get in contact with you and see more of your work?

Search for ‘Kurt Ahs’ or click here

(Note from Me: I have chosen a couple of my favourite photos from Kurt’s Destination Weddings. He travels more than anyone I know.

You can also click on the thumbnail at the top of the post to view the video of Jack and Angeline.)

Fusion Video :: Uberkids & Encore Media unite!

We have teamed up with our good friends from Uber Photography to produce and exciting new service for all our couples and families.

With the new advances in video and camera technology it is a natural progression to join the best of both worlds into one video slideshow. The new Uber Fusion package combines the amazing photography skills of the Uber team with the talent of Encore Media to produce a unique memory of your family. As a parent myself with children that are growing up too quickly it is immediately obvious how important it is to capture these moments.

You can also view more of the Uber kids portrait work by visiting the Uberkidsblog.

105 Year Old Wedding Film…….no, we didn’t shoot it..

Is this the world’s oldest wedding film? It’s pretty amazing to watch. No sound, black and white but still awesome to see what happened, who was there, how they moved etc ….I wonder if our current couples grandchildren will be looking back in 105 years time enjoying the wedding videos we produce today…..I hope so.

Sonia & Toese :: Highlights :: Not a dull moment

Wow…I didn’t realise it had been so long since the last post. Lots happening here so will update post more over the next few weeks.

Today we have Sonia & Toese highlights. Another long day, another exciting mix of cultures. This was a great day for shooting video. Never a dull moment as you will see from the powerful and beautiful pacific island dancing, lebanese dancing and traditions and some performances from the bride and groom to top it all off….hardest part was trying to fit it all in one highlights.

Angeline & Jack :: Malaysian Wedding la!

Late last year I had the good fortune to visit Malaysia for the wedding of Angeline & Jack.Travelling light with only one camera and no tripod it was by far the hardest I have worked on a wedding.

However it was also one of the most interesting and enjoyable weddings I have attended. Angeline, Jack and their families were fantastic hosts and looked after me all the way.

Kelvin helped out with a couple of shots in the video and photography was by the very talented  Kurt Ahs.

Linda & Sanjay :: 3 ceremonies in one day

Linda & Sanjay had another action packed day with Civil Ceremony, Tea Ceremony and Hindu Ceremony all in one day. Doesn’t leave much time for rest but I am sure they were able to relax the following day. The wedding day was all about celebration and sharing good times with family and friends.

We’ve Moved……finally!

After months of preparations we have finally moved and started to settle into our new studio location. We have a nice new meeting area and seperate editing space (which tends to get a little messy at times).

Downstairs is occupied by Kate and Chris of Uber Photography and we are very excited about working together on a number of future projects.

New Contact details are:

Irene & Sunny :: Same Day Edit

Here is the latest same day edit presentation we produced for Irene & Sunny. Yet another action filled day with Tea Ceremonies, Church, Photos and the usual fun and laughter.

Always nice working with the Uber Team. Was interesting having Kate look over my shoulder while putting the edit together. Talk about extra pressure.

Nina & Sam :: Pre-Wedding Shoot

This was shot as a pre-wedding video for Nina & Sam who will be getting married in March. We were fortunate to get some great weather and nice location.

It was nice to shoot from the boat and get something a little different to the norm. (Although I nearly took a tumble into the water once or twice thanks to the antics of photographer Vincent Lai.

Overall it was a fun day with a fun couple.
